Richard Dick Brown, a tail gunner with the th squadron, participated in the D-Day invasion and is returning to France for the 75th anniversary celebrations. Richard Dick Brown is taking full advantage of his opportunity to take part in 75th anniversary D-Day ceremonies on Juno Beach. He joined about 45 others as part of a Canadian contingent heading to France Friday and is one of the few living veterans who can provide first-hand stories of events that led up to the end of the Second World War.

He passed away on Wednesday at Edgewood Vista in Norfolk. Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne. He was gifted and talented in his guidance and influence throughout his career and beyond.
